Georgia Southern University (GSU) is an awesome school located in the friendly town of Statesboro in southeast Georgia. The town has a great laid back atmosphere and just enough things to do to keep you entertained.
The school’s mascot, Gus, is an eagle who always walks around with his chest puffed out with school spirit. He usually looks happy and confident, strutting down the sideline at football games and showing up on GSU printed material.
I remember seeing Gus as a kid and I always liked him. I graduated from UGA but Gus has a place in my heart too.
