This is an angry wild pig with a mullet. Everything makes him mad when he skips his lexapro. His siri voice control of his podcasts aren’t fast enough. His tolerance for repeated podcast topics is too short. He cant handle lines at walmart or people who walk too slow.
Animals
I like scissor-tailed flycatchers because of their long forked tails that flow very gracefully in flight, making them one of the most elegant birds. Their soft pastel colors, with a mix of pale gray, salmon pink, and black are beautiful. I also admire their agility as they effortlessly catch insects midair, showing their incredible precision and skill.
Radiohead was huge in the ’90s when I was in school. They built on the wave Nirvana started, crafting their own dark, moody take on alternative rock. OK Computer was their masterpiece and remains one of my favorite albums to this day. This is their mascot, reimagined in 3D with red headphones. I’ve always pictured it as an evil alien robot, feeding on the flesh of devoted fans.
This is a goofy blue fish with red fins and lips and eyestalks. He is a potty fish. If you look in your toilet at night you can sometimes catch him swimming around in there.
A massive grey shark glided silently through the deep, its shadow swallowing the sunlight above. Below, a tiny goldfish trembled, its bright scales flashing as it darted behind a swaying piece of coral. The shark’s cold black eyes lingered for a moment before it swam away, leaving the goldfish frozen in fear.
This is an illustration of Pepe the frog posed in the slav squat with an Adam Carolla logo. A Slav squat is a deep squat with the feet flat on the ground, knees spread apart, and heels planted firmly on the ground. It’s a comfortable resting position. This is homage to Adam wearing an adidas track suit and some thick rimmed black glasses in an interview about the Palisades fires. He looked like the villain from a mid 1990s Guy Ritchie movie. Adam was one of the first famous people I remember who was brave enough to stick it to california about their stupid politics.
This is an illustration of a sweet baby penguin making a heart gesture with his hands. Tux, the baby penguin, has wide, curious eyes, and he sits happily in his snowy world. Though small, his heart is full of love.
When I was a kid we had a sweet doggie named waggles. She was a spitz cocker spaniel mix. I still dream about her running around in the backyard as I fly over the fence and into the neighbor’s yard on my way to the woods. Dreams are so strange – you become a kid again and all of the wonder and fears you had back then are still there.
The GIMP mascot, Wilber, could easily fit into an art school in the ’90s, its playful, scrappy vibe blending with the grunge and DIY aesthetic of the era. Picture Wilber surrounded by stacks of Xeroxed zines, jars of half-cleaned brushes, and a chaotic yet brilliant array of digital and analog projects. As an artist, Wilber might be the quirky kid experimenting with early digital tools, pushing boundaries, and introducing classmates to the possibilities of open-source creativity.
The Big Bad Wolf is a notorious character often found in fairy tales, particularly known for his roles in stories like “The Three Little Pigs” and “Little Red Riding Hood.” He is typically portrayed as cunning and ruthless, using his wits to deceive and trap his prey. Despite his fearsome reputation, the Big Bad Wolf sometimes gets outsmarted by clever protagonists in these classic tales.
A quirky blue fish named Benny swims through the coral reef with a shiny set of braces, glinting like treasure in the sunlight. Rubber bands crisscross his tiny fishy teeth, making his grin both comical and endearing to the other sea creatures. Despite his unique look, Benny proudly flashes his metallic smile, proving that confidence can make waves anywhere!
This is an illustration of a blue mosquito that I did a long time ago. I updated it using my iPad Pro. The changes seem insubstantial but they add much character to the design. I added thicker and more detailed legs and added hairs to his thorax and antenna. I also updated his wing detail and changed his buggy eyes. The thing that the iPad does so well is let me pull freehand lines like I would with a pen or brush. This is far faster and easier than drawing them with the curve tool in photoshop or trying to draw them on a wacom intuos in photoshop with brush smoothing turned on.
