Hey There! My name is Mac McRae. I am a graphic designer and commercial artist who specializes in whimsical art for kids. I like to have fun imagining fantastical creatures and monsters and using an ipad and desktop computer to draw and pant them and bring them to life. My work is influenced by the 1970s, pushpin studios, the Beatles Yellow Submarine coffee table book and the work of Monty Python alum Terry Gilliam. I love and I am inspired by movies and cartoons and listen and watch podcasts while I work. Having done this daily for my entire life I have gotten incredibly good with the myriad tools of digital art. I use mac and pc and wacom cintiqs and ipad pros. In the past 10 years or so the tools of digital art have gotten far better and my work has improved because of it. They mimic the feel and accuracy of the traditional media I grew up using.
