Thunderstorms roll in almost every day in the Southeast in the summer. It is scary to see roiling black clouds overhead in the afternoon. In Georgia we are between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico so we get massive doses of moisture mixed with blistering heat. We almost never have rain without fireworks — the atmosphere is almost always unsettled. I am so afraid of violent weather — it is my phobia. That and asteroids .… and girls.
