I love old sneakers. This is some random Nike high-tops that I designed with a wacom and Photoshop. They are meant to look retro and be a mix between basketball shoes and hiking boots. This is a reworking of Nikes original Air Revolution. I remember the commercial from the 80s with the Beatles White Album Blaring in the background.
This is a Nike Air Max design I did in photoshop. It has the same cheese grater style as the Jordans I did recently. They are a mix of gaudy detail and minimalism. I still need to design the transparent air part of the sole. It is so odd how something as simple as the word air and the tiny transparent window in a sole could make Nike so much money.
This is a concept painting of Jordan trainers. I painted them using photoshop and a wacom. It is very much like an old fashion airbrush painting and it is very easy to create dimension. Shoes are very simple to create – starting with a simple silohette you can paint a realistic shoe in minutes. I think $300 shoes are absurd.
Shoes are so easy to do after a decade of creating creatures, cars and people. This is a revised version of Kanye’s Yeezy 1. I like how a screen of holes change the way shoes look. The original yeezys were by far the best of the bunch. I feel like Adidas has lost the original charm of his first few sets of Nike sneakers.
