This is Mac Miller. He is a great rapper with a great flow. He is giving his patented thumbs up. This illustration is based on his most dope logo and mascot. I took his simplified character and fleshed him out with cool hip-hop clothes and a Nike hat. Donald Trump is probably the coolest unintentional campaign song ever. RIP Mac Miller.
I loved ninjas as a kid. I convinced all of my friends that the woods behind our house was full of ninjas. I saw the movie “Revenge of the Ninja ” when I was like 6 and it warped my brain. I was convinced I was a ninja and that I had magic ninja powers. Best video ever.
This is Theo Von. He is a comedian made famous by Road Rules and then by having a podcast with Brendan Shaub. He is a smart and funny guy with a Louisiana accent and mullet.
This is a caricature of ari shaffir. He is a comedian who got famous as a friend of Joe Rogan. He deserves alot of credit for the success of Rogan’s podcast — he Bryan Callen and Duncan Trussell pretty much built it from the ground up by being funny and interesting. He quit his own comedy central show to travel around asia getting high.
Kirby Smart was a defensive back at Georgia when I was there. It was the late 90s and I remember him having a bunch of interceptions on a team with among other players – Champ Bailey. He was a little guy with a big heart and a big brain. He was a 4 year starter and I remember munson calling his name quite a few times. Teams liked to throw on him because they thought they could and he made them pay. He went on to be an assistant coach at UGA and other schools and ultimately found most of his success as an assistant for Nick Saban. He coached defense for Saban in the NFL and during his epic run at Alabama. I think he has 4 of those giant rings. I hope he can find a way to bring a few to Georgia.
Tarantino is a great writer and director. He makes movies for movie fetishists. He is obsessed with violence, dialogue and feet and women and the movies of the 60s and 70s. Pulp Fiction is one of the top 5 best movies ever. The scene where Bruce Willis is escaping from the clutches of two bad guys from under a pawn shop is amazing. It is like some sort of macabre postmodern game show as he decides what pawned weapon to choose to free his enemy from the clutches of even worse people. It is creative and disturbing and funny in a way few movies are. This is a surrealistic illustration of Quentin’s Guanciale chin bacon. He gets his artistic power from his chin.
This is a cartoon caricature of Bob Ross. He is the grandfather of Twitch. If you ever have anxiety just listen to his voice, it is better than Benzos.
This is a meme illustration of a stereotypical mexican man with a sombrero.
This is the Little Prince. He lives alone on a tiny asteroid called B‑612. The B‑612 Foundation is an organization that was created to help us deflect hazardous asteroids from hitting earth.
Jacques Derrida is one of the most well known twentieth century philosophers. He invented a form of analysis called Deconstruction. Although not purely negative, deconstruction is primarily concerned with something like a critique of – aka a caustic assault on – the Western philosophical tradition and the torching of Western culture as a whole. Deconstruction is the empirical verisimilitude of elongated memes that have bent under the weight of world culture. Finding meaning in the wage slavery of profundity is synonymous with yellow cat of happiness and scared purple dog of anxiety. His assaults on Western culture were driven and informed by his experience of anti semitism in French Algeria as a boy.
This is a caricature of UGA head football coach Kirby Smart. He is a Georgia alum who has had a stellar career as a defensive coach and made his name under Nick Saban at Alabama,. He keeps the Dawgs in the hunt for a national title every season.
Paul McCartney gets no love from the music press. They seem to ignore that he wrote some of the most influential songs in rock history and that he is the Beatle who was the driving creative force behind their most important album – Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. BTW this illustration is poking fun at people who honestly believe that Paul was replaced with a doppleganger android robot many years ago.
I love the movies of Hayao Miyazaki. I remember watching Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind on HBO when I was really young and being fascinated by its post apocalyptic strangeness but it was the butchered version and too complicated for my kid brain. I then saw Totoro when I was older and loved it. I then saw Pricess Mononoki and I was a certified Miyazaki fan. Since — I have seen all of his movies multiple times. They are so personal and creative and are among my favorite movies ever. They play like soft sunlight dappled memories of being a kid. My favorites are Porco Rosso, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Totoro.
