I painted a picture of KanYe West with a computer because I refuse to be constrained by the presumtive authority of the past. Then I ran a computer filter on him to make him look like I painted him with traditional media to demonstrate how silly the concept of traditional media is. I take it we are supposed to have an original, one of a kind painting, so some rich dude with no taste can own it and hang it in his bathroom . Layers upon layers of pix-elated urban culture spattered irony. TLOP is kind of a great album. It is kind of pixely though. I call this style of art post postimpression-modern-asshole-ism.
