Eustace Tilley illustration for the portfolio. He is a dandy and the mascot of the Newyorker – a magazine where you can find some of the best American contributions to art. I love reading words after intelligent people pick, arrange, inspect, and polish them like found art treasures. Writing is no doubt the highest form of human expression. It is the most perfected. It is purely abstract and it reaches into your brain and pulls levers and squeezes various triggers that have evolved specifically to help us relay information about our emotions so we can survive in a hostile world that wants us dead. And no place wants you dead more than New York. Seriously – all of the stories are true. But if I had all of the money in the world I would probably live in New York and sit around all day with my nose up in the air and read interesting stuff by intelligent people.
