Parappa was one of my favorite playstation games. It is the grandfather of rhythm based games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band. He is a cute puppy rapper who wears a frog beanie and spits fire over cool retro 90s beats.
Bioluminescence is amazing. It is magical how some insects have evolved to use glowing bodyparts to communicate. This is a happy firefly with a giant grin and a glowy bum. Lightning bug cartoon.
Crying frog is good luck. If you see him online say “Thank you crying Frog” in the comments. And he will erase any bad luck you have. His tears are powerful amphibian magic. Use them wisely.
I love Wacom. They have been making stuff for digital art for as long as I can remember. Their tablets are bulletproof. I have had my trusty intuos 4 for many years. It lives in my bag and gets banged around constantly. It was the first tablet that had 2048 levels of pressure to simulate the sensitivity of natural media. In combination with a good monitor you can make amazingly true to life paintings. It is like a tactile and supple connection to the angular binary digital brain of your computer. I imagine this being a 50 foot shiny metal Popart monument.
This is chuck the monster. He loves cotton candy. He likes how it dissolves in his mouth. It is so sweet and fluffy – just like his personality.
I have an ectopic heartbeat. It is a disturbance in the normal rhythm of my heart. To be redundant – your heart has multiple pacemakers to ensure that if one fails another will takeover the job of making your heart beat. Sometimes the secondary pacemaker cells disturb the rhythm of the primary pacemaker and cause your heartbeat to pause then start again with a larger than normal beat before it goes back to its normal rhythm. These can happen multiple times a minute. Mine seem to happen later in the day when cortisol has had a chance to build up in my system from daily stress. I can feel them when they happen and it makes me worry about my heart – though I have been told that they are not deadly. It feels like a jolt in my chest. This is a unicorn heart with rainbow blood.
I did a picture of Taylor driving a beater car a while back. Here she is driving a Lamborghini with Meredith in her lap. It is a much cooler car but still in the super deformed “Micromachines” vein. I’m pretty good at painting cars. I spent about 4 years doing nothing but cars when I first started doing digital art.
